Finally the heat is here!

This winter baby loves the cold, crisp air that comes around and peaks during birthday time. I love going outside in super cute boots and seeing my breath while my eyebrows tingle from the chill. I don't like the rain and I don't like that in-between weather. You know the kind of weather that is gloomy, threatens to rain, hovers over Yippy-ville and stubbornly remains at 60 degrees. Who can do anything with that weather?

This year we have had WAY too much of that in-between weather. So much that I started to yearn for the warmth. That kind of warmth that makes my squash dominate the garden. The kind of warmth that makes it near impossible to go on a run after 9am without dying of heat stroke. Warmth that allows me to do this:

Now that Miss S is around this type of warmth means head to toe sunscreen and a spray bottle so she doesn't over heat. Warmth will mean Miss S will "wade" in her baby pool. She will learn what it is like to be a nekid baby on the prowl for naughty things to get into. Miss S will get to see what Mommy and Daddy look like a few beers deep making s'mores.

I made my last batch of "not-from-the-garden" marinara sauce the other day. Next time I make spaghetti this warmth will have brought me tomatoes redder than Snow White's apple and basil so fragrant that you don't even need to add it to the sauce to taste it.

Warmth has come. It is in full regalia today. I am sweating just sitting near a window with the sun beating down on me. It is heaven!
